Patience is an entrepreneur, mother, community organizer, political activist, leadership coach and former technology executive. At Code and Canvas, Patience brings her strategic experience in the tech world to her approach for managing a thriving community art space.

Jean-philippe (JP) defaut - Content Creator

With over 20 years experience in the UK and Europe, recently relocated to San Francisco, JP has photographed and developed stories for large and small clients, commercial and corporate, design consultancies, architects and interior designers, fashion and retail houses, international press and media as well as HM's Government. He is passionate about people and their environment.

Nik Ajagu - Investor

Nik is a San Francisco-based entrepreneur, investor and early team member at Facebook where he was recently Head of Media Solutions Americas. Previously, Nik co-founded a seed stage VC and consulting firm, Ecosystem Ventures.

Gi Fernando - Investor

Gi is the Chairman and Founder of Free:Formers, a London company that empowers both business people and young people through digital skills with a unique ONE:FOR1 model where for every business person they train, they train a young person for free.

Gi has maintained a lifelong interest in creating profitable businesses that have social good built in, and he has launched and sold several tech ventures.

An entrepreneur, investor and engineer, Jeff's interests concentrate on the space where technology, process and design work together to amplify the richness of daily life.

John Yi - Investor | Founder

John is a serial entrepreneur and tech veteran who's worked at Facebook, Pinterest, and currently leads Developer Platform initiatives at Coinbase. He helped launch and contributes actively to One Acre Fund, a successful non-profit supporting small-scale farmers in Africa, and in previous years served with US Army Special Operations. John is an aspiring novelist and rents a writing desk at Code and Canvas.

Galyn burke - director of healing arts

Using neuroscience to understand how and why people suffer, and the healing arts to alleviate that suffering, Galyn provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families at Code and Canvas. Galyn also collaborates with artists (and healing artists) in the community to present healing arts workshops that explore the ‘art and science of’ some of the most pressing mental health topics facing our community.
